Important Update--Sunsetting Substack
Taking a long pause...
Hey Friends,
First of all, thank you so much for subscribing to this lil’ Substack of mine. I started it almost a year ago with the hope of journeying with people through the Bible, one chapter at a time. I am so encouraged that so many of you jumped in with me.
But, before we get lost in the wilderness in Numbers, I have decided to sunset this project indefinitely.
When I first started this, I was working part-time and had a bit more margin, not just time-wise but mentally. But in the fall, I started working full-time, and my brain went into overdrive. So, I need a break.
I have also discovered that I really like making theological resources for kids. You can see what I’m cooking up at my website, and that work really energizes me in this season. And, I will have more time to work on my Theology in 10 series. The Essentials of the Faith booklet will launch this month. Very exciting.
I am open to the Lord calling me back to this project if my day job changes, so I’m calling it a pause for now. But, this will be an extended break. My word for the year is shalom or peace. And, shalom is more than the absence of strife; it’s the presence of wholeness. It’s been a long time since I have felt whole, so I am hoping that by cutting back, I will move in that direction.
Now, for some logistics:
We are going to finish Leviticus.
I will pause all payments. If you are currently a paid subscriber, you will still have access to the content behind the paywall. I know many of you are slowly making your way through the videos, so you will still have that chance.
If you signed up for a year’s membership recently and want a prorated refund, please let me know. You will have access to the backlog, but I know this might feel like a bait-and-switch, and I do not want you to feel that way.
If you want to keep up with what I’m doing, be sure to subscribe to my newsletter at NikaSpaulding.com.
Again, thank you for your support this last year. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
~Nika

I have so enjoyed your breaking open the scriptures. So sorry that life is getting in the way. Praying for you to be successful and know shalom. Selfishly, I hope you come back to this project.
